Walt Disney World Orlando

The magic of Disney in four wonderful ever changing parks.

Disney world Orlando.   So what’s that all about?

Well, for me it’s the most magical place in the world.  A place where you can escape the real world, if only for a short period of time, and engulf yourself in a world of magic, and fantasy.

Walt Disneyworld Orlando park comprises of 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, a sports complex, a shopping and restaurant complex (Disney Springs), golf courses and 28 resorts, from value resorts to deluxe villas.  The resorts are themselves themed and you can choose just what your heart delights.-

The park occupies approx. 43 sq. miles or 110 sq. km – approx. the size of San Francisco, or twice the size of Manhattan (say what???)- it’s enormous, and that is part of the charm of it.

The 4 Theme parks are:

Magic Kingdom

Epcot

Animal Kingdom

Disney Hollywood Studios

The 2 Water Parks are:

Disney Blizzard Beach

Disney Typhoon Lagoon

And lest us forget Disney Springs (Formally Downtown Disney) – with the Disney Quest complex, and plenty of shopping and dining venues.

There are advantages staying at the on site Disney hotels.  Extra Magic hours (before and after park opening hours, as advertised for the different parks) is one of them.  Add to that free transportation around the resort and the complimentary transportation from and to MCO.  Also there is the Magic band and the Fast pass and dining plans that are open only to on site visitors.

Unlike other sites or blogs, I won’t get into nitty gritty of the park.  I will share information and experiences from the different theme parks and resorts, including specific rides and restaurants, including recommendations.

I’ll share my past experiences and future plans for our next trip, and would love to get your input too.  Join me with the magic…
