Universal Studios Orlando Resort – Wow Wow and Wow
Universal Studios Orlando – my second favourite place in the World.
I mean, it only takes one name – Harry Potter – no other explanation needed.
If you’re a lover of Harry Potter, books or movies, well this is the dream world for you.
Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley and Gringotts, including the Hogwarts Express – all fit into one – the Universal Studios Orlando Resort. I can tell you, that I’ve been there, and it is amazing.
That alone should be the best incentive to visit Universal Orlando. But add to that Jurassic Park, Dr. Seuss, The Simpsons, Men in Black (all with designated areas), and amazing rides like Despicable me, Transformers, Spiderman, The Mummy, Shrek and crazy great water rides. Well, there you are, that makes it a `must visit` resort.
The resort contains 2 Theme Parks, connected by the Hogwarts Express, Universal Studios and Island of Adventure. There is also a new (recently opened) Water park – Volcano Bay.
Surrounding the parks are 6 on site Hotels, ranging from value to deluxe.
Connecting the parks with the hotels sits City Walk, an entertainment, restaurant and shopping complex.
There are definitely advantages to staying on site, just like with Disney World, and maybe even more. The on site hotels are mostly within walking distance from the parks and from City Walk. Even if you don’t want to walk the distance, the transportation within the park is fee for on site visitors. There is early admission to the Wizarding world of Harry Potter (great advantage, as it gets very crowded and not all rides allow the express pass). Your room key is actually your park ticket, and you can purchase to the card and have the merchandise delivered to your hotel.
But to top it all, staying as the moderate and deluxe hotels (Royal Pacific, Sapphire Falls, Hard Rock Hotel and Portofino Bay) awards you an express pass, allowing you, thru out your stay and all day, to skip the lines on most rides in the parks.- From experience – best thing ever.
